Countless other lives have been ruined -- the mothers, fathers, siblings, and family members of those murdered babies.
Call them fetuses if you want, that's fine. Fetus describes a stage of development, just like toddler, teenager, elderly. If you think you're talking about just a "ball of cells" then you should look at these pictures of the aborted. If you go to the link it gives a list of links to click on for each stage of development that the abortion was done. Don't stay ignorant; look and see exactly what we're talking about.
Can those little ones live without their mothers? No. Can a newborn live without her mother, or can a toddler, or a 6-year-old? No. Even if they could, that is not what determines someone's worth, someone's right to live. We all have intrinsic value as human beings, and 6 week old fetuses are human beings too.
